Are you interested in engaging with the public?
Have you ever wanted to showcase your research to school pupils?
Would you like to inspire young minds?
If you answered yes to any of these questions or would like to work with school aged pupils and have never done so before, please sign up to this Outreach Induction & Training Session for School of Earth and Environment. Here we will go through how it works to do ad hoc outreach work in schools, try out and demonstrate our current demos, have a go at creating a session, discuss FAQ in terms of both working with young students and festival stalls verses sessions. There will also be sign ups for set sessions such as Leeds Festival of Science and After-School Club. Please email to find out further information and/or register your interest with Freya Addison, also to make sure there is enough cake for everyone!
You may have done outreach in the past, and would like to get involved again, perhaps you have a new session in mind, or want to share your research. If so, please email Freya (F.I.Lumb@leeds.ac.uk) to discuss how you can get your session going in a school.
