Project: Low carbon energy service demands

I am researching energy demand reduction through the delivery of low carbon energy services. Energy services are the services provided by energy, such as mobility and thermal comfort. By framing energy demand through the lens of energy services, a broader array of mitigation options for energy demand reduction, beyond energy efficiency improvements, become available. My research will take a full-system approach, examining the energy system from production to end-use, while also analysing the drivers behind energy service demands, devising mitigation options for reducing energy service demand and assessing the socio-economic implications of radical changes in delivering energy services.
