Clare Martynski
- Position
- Communication and Engagement Manager
I lead the communication and engagement activity at the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures. I am responsible for promoting the work of the Priestley Centre to those who might benefit from our expertise and services, as well as to organisations and individuals who can help to further our mission. I coordinate the Priestley Centre membership scheme, the Priestley Climate Scholars programme, and work closely with Priestley Centre experts to amplify their research outside of the academic sphere. I also offer expert advice on climate communication to colleagues across the University of Leeds.
I have an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and English Literature, a Masters in Leadership for Sustainable Development, and my PhD focused on the role of interactive art in achieving a more sustainable future. In between these periods of study I worked in circus and theatre production, and as a sustainability consultant. I joined the Priestley Centre in May 2019.
