Priestley Centre deputy director Professor Wändi Bruine de Bruin of Leeds University Business School will be speaking on understanding and informing consumer behaviour around energy and climate change at a networking event on Friday 29 April.

Shrink to fit: Using less, generating our own and buying smart – renewable energy and the challenges we face will be hosted by Tim Cockerill, Professor of Efficient Energy Utilisation at the University of Leeds. The lunchtime lecture, which takes place 12.00-2.00pm at the Roger Stevens Building, explores how we can embrace energy efficiency, the role of renewables and some of the challenges associated with change. The other speakers are Jens Wolf, Regulation and Markets Director from Drax Power and Maria Spyrou, M&S’ Energy Efficiency Programme Manager.

The event, the first in a series at the University of Leeds that will connect businesses with higher education, looks at the particular challenge faced by businesses of different sizes in terms of energy use. It includes a Q &A session and a networking reception with refreshments after the talk.
