CUSP Fellow appointment to link Leeds with schools
James Mckay, manager of two EPSRC Centres for doctoral training in Low Carbon Technologies and Bioenergy at the University of Leeds, has been made a Fellow of CUSP, the Centre for Understanding Sustainable Prosperity.
Mr Mckay, a graphic artist and science communicator, is editor of the recently published book A Dream of a Low Carbon Future, which uses graphic art to give a positive view of a future under climate change circa 2150.
The book, which is the successor to Dreams of a Low Carbon Future, co-created with school children, will be used in workshops with schools to explore the themes and deconstruct the contested language of sustainable growth, as well as exploring alternative visions of the future.
