Project: The uptake and use of new climate projections for adaptation

My project is looking at the uptake and use of UKCP18 projections for climate change adaptation. UKCP18 is the new set of climate scenarios created by the Met Office and have been developed with greater emphasis on user requirements in order to improve its usability. My research will evaluate the success of that ambition by assessing awareness and perceptions of the projections, the organisations that are using them and what the projections are being used for, with the aim of understanding the factors that influence the usability of climate information for organisations, and the drivers and barriers that influence its use for adaptation.
