Project: Improving Climate-Health Monitoring and Surveillance Systems in Southwestern Uganda

Existing monitoring and surveillance systems are a critical part of understanding the impacts of climate change on health. This PhD project focuses on how local knowledge and participation can, and do, contribute to improving climate-health monitoring and surveillance in Southwestern Uganda.  In doing so we hope to subsequently improve our understanding of the complexity of these causal pathways linking climate change and health.
