Climate change presents an unprecedented global challenge that demands an unprecedented global response. As the UK prepares to host the next UN climate change conference, the University of Leeds is convening a week of events in April 2021, gathering together voices from across sectors and geographies to build ambition for impactful climate action.
How can Leeds lead the way to a resilient, low carbon future?
As part of The Future of Innovation series hosted by Nexus, this event explored what a low carbon future looks like, how it will be financed, and how businesses of all sizes and sectors can build resilience and rise to the challenge.

Connecting Youth Voices for Climate Action: a UK and South Africa exchange
Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 April - Young people from across the UK and South Africa will meet online to share their lived experiences of climate impacts, supported by academics and students from the University of Leeds. This virtual cultural exchange will launch 'The Ripple Effect' to amplify young voices and influence the climate action plans of local decision makers everywhere. This event is by invitation only.
